Scientology is an odd religion with dubious doctrines. Although no religion can claim to be entirely based on fact, Scientology's beliefs are in a league of their own. The core creation myth of the religion is based on the fictitious alien race known as Xenu. The Galactic Confederacy, a collection of planets that had been around for about 20 million years and were struggling to survive extreme overpopulation, was once ruled by Xenu.

A system of auditing past experiences is used in Scientology. This requires connecting to a device known as an E-Meter. The Scientology auditor will enquire about the person's life and inquire as to whether or not they have ever had any unsettling experiences. The auditors may occasionally notice things that are absent from the person's life. The religion is infamous for its auditing procedure, which compels potential adherents to provide personal information.

One of the most divisive religious movements in the modern era is scientology. It's been portrayed as a cult that charges obscene fees to its members. In addition to its religious convictions, the movement also has a lengthy and shady media history. In fact, it has been charged with spying on famous people, such as Nicole Kidman.

An ex-Scientologist has been vocal about her opinions on the religion. She joined the religion in 1979 and is now a well-known opponent of it. Leah Remini, a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, was recently cut off from her friendship after she declared that she was "ST" (separate and distinct) and that she would no longer attend church. On Twitter, she made her decision public.

Critics have focused on one aspect of Scientology: its attitude toward violence. Those who are deemed dangerous by Church of Scientology members may even face violence. Members of the cult are urged to attack detractors using legal, emotional, and financial means in addition to violence and illegal methods. Although this rule is no longer in effect, it is still a fundamental part of the religion.

For Hubbard's books, Scientology members must fork over thousands of dollars. These books come in sets that cost over $4,000, and the packages require frequent updates. Scientologists are also required to attend Hubbard lectures and buy a variety of audio CDs. They must also contribute to the church's causes and pay membership dues.

The personality test is another aspect of Scientology that has recently gained attention. Kaja Ballo, a 20-year-old woman, recently participated in a Scientology personality test. She had a depressive personality, was overly critical, and lacked harmony, according to the results. After that, she ended her life. She expressed regret for being "bad" at everything in her suicide note. According to reports, Inga Thorkildsen, Kaja's mother, said that Scientology played a part in her daughter's suicide.

Celebrity members of the Church of Scientology have also garnered media attention. Star Tom Cruise is a follower of Scientology, and he frequently extols the organization. Many of his wives, though, are allegedly Scientologists. According to rumors, Tom Cruise allowed the Church of Scientology to interview his wife. In a notorious interview with Oprah, he appeared agitated and angry, suggesting that Scientology wanted to take his money.

L. Ron Hubbard created Scientology in 1953. He was born in Nebraska and wrote science fiction. The Hubbard family traveled extensively because his father served in the U.S. Navy. Hubbard attended the University of Washington but left before receiving his degree to pursue a career as a science fiction author.
